Ed Drake, Teacher of Guitar and Bass Lessons at One Three Guitar

Ed Drake

Musical Education
Ed is excited to bring his lifetime love of music to teaching guitar and bass lessons at One Three Guitar.

He previously taught at GuitarWorks and the University of Richmond and has extensive experience playing many different styles of music.

Current Projects
Recently, he has played in the Susan Greenbaum band and in the orchestra pit of many traveling Broadway and local theater productions. Ed also takes on various musical freelance projects.

In his spare time, Ed continues to be a student of the guitar and has been exploring music production using computers and MIDI for years. He enjoys listening to music while walking, traveling, and hanging out with his friends, family, and pets.

Jason Tyler, Teacher of Guitar Lessons at One Three Guitar

Jason Tyler

Musical Education
After receiving Guitar Hero 3 as a birthday gift from his father one year, Jason fell in love. So much so that asked for a real guitar the following Christmas.

Jason taught himself guitar, practicing every day to hone his skills. He created his own songs and performed live with bands. Eventually, he earned a spot in VCU’s art program in Richmond, where he would get a bachelor’s degree in music performance.

Current Projects
He currently plays with progressive Rock band Halfcast and does session work for many different artists around the country. In addition to guitar, he also plays the trumpet, bass-guitar, piano, drums and sings.
