One Three Guitar’s music lesson program is growing, and we are seeking a dynamic, creative, and talented individual to join our team as a part time guitar teacher. Check out the job description, and if you think you’d be a good fit, fill out the form below!

As a teacher at One Three Guitar, you would define and teach your curriculum to students in the RVA area. Your home office will be our shop on MacArthur Ave, purpose built to be a welcoming place for all humans to further their musical journey.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced knowledge of guitar and real world teaching experience with a proven track record of success. They will also have availability Friday thru Monday.

Please note that we’ll be building your student roster from scratch. We’ll work together to define the days and hours you’d prefer to work, and to grow your roster as quickly as possible. Typical tasks for teachers:

• Plan and prepare lessons in relation to individual students’ needs
• Teach music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to students
• Motivate students and encourage progress
• Communicate with staff, students, and parents on scheduling
• Assess students abilities, providing feedback
• Manage schedule in our teaching portal
• Participate in periodic recitals and shop events

• Salary: $27.00 – $30.00 per hour
